Right Questions

The right questions begin with the decisions at hand.  

Often, people get bogged down in the methodology: trying to figure out how to get the answers they're looking for without first exploring whether or not they're asking the right questions.

Remember "New Coke"?  Right answers, wrong questions.  

Another common pitfall is trying to understand emotional decisions or reactions by asking logical questions.  Hint: this doesn't work, but there are plenty of other tools that do! 

Solid Information

Garbage in, garbage out.  

Solid Information is priceless. If your info is based on the wrong questions, though, it's not useful and is a waste of resources.  If there's anything I abhor, it's wasting your resources.  

The best information isn't always located in the most obvious place, either.  This is where we can get creative to ensure that the information we work from is the absolute best for addressing the decisions you need to make.
